Talking Trash & Recycling

SEA Club Recycling Zoom PosterJoin us for a Keep Massachusetts Beautiful Zoom presentation, Talking Trash & Recycling on April 12th – 4.5.22

Our Students for Environmental Action (SEA Club) are taking action to make our school, our community, and Massachusetts a cleaner, greener place to live, work and play. They’ve partnered with Keep Massachusetts Beautiful, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the simple idea that “beauty matters” and a landscape littered with trash is anything but beautiful.

Join us on Tuesday, April 12th, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. for the Keep Massachusetts Beautiful Zoom presentation, Talking Trash & Recycling. Learn more about what happens to your trash and recyclables here in the Blackstone Valley, the plastic pollution crisis, and how trash & recycling is managed across our state.

Are you confused about what goes in your trash bin and what goes in your recycling bin? You’re not alone! This interactive presentation is delivered in 45 minutes, with 15-30 more minutes for questions and answers at the end. You will learn ways to reduce the amount of trash you generate, improve your recycling habits, and make easy changes to lead a more sustainable lifestyle. You’ll also get an overview of MassDEP’s innovative RecycleSmartMA website and tips to become a better recycler and keep the Blackstone Valley beautiful.

Pre-registration is required to receive the Zoom link.
