Loving Lacrosse
Hardcastle & Kinsella Sign Letters of Intent to Play in College – February 10, 2021
For high school athletes across the country, Signing Day is an exciting time to celebrate an official commitment to play collegiate sports at the post-secondary level for an NCAA Division I or Division II School.
At a small socially distanced ceremony held at school on January 28th, senior-athletes Ben Hardcastle of Upton, Information Technology, and Jack Kinsella of Milford, Dental Assisting, each signed a National Letter of Intent formalizing their commitment to take their love for playing lacrosse to the collegiate level at NCAA Division II schools.
Hardcastle is headed to American International College (AIC) in Springfield, where he plans to study Media and Communications, while Kinsella will be heading to Assumption University in Worcester to pursue general studies before declaring a major.
The NCAA National Signing Day ceremony was well worth the wait for the two lacrosse players who were grateful to have an opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments with those who have supported them over the last four years. They remarked that it meant a lot to have their teammates and immediate family members on-hand to mark the occasion.
Hardcastle and Kinsella were honored with congratulatory messages from their coaches and athletic director. They spoke highly of the players and acknowledged their personal growth and contributions to the lacrosse program as they've watched them become great leaders both on and off the field and are confident that their success at BVT will translate to AIC and Assumption.
"Over the years, I've had the distinct pleasure of meeting many of our student-athletes, and I've observed them having to make choices about college and sports," said Michele Denise. "Seeing students like Ben and Jack who've grown in our lacrosse program by working hard to develop their skills successfully commit their talents to the collegiate level is a rewarding and proud moment for our athletes, our coaches, and our school."
