Program Accreditations
As an applicant to our Practical Nursing Program, you are encouraged to discuss your ability for licensure to work in another state other than Massachusetts. If you intend to practice outside of
Massachusetts, you may need to obtain a license in another state, as not all states accept a Massachusetts license.
Graduates of our program are qualified to work in the state of Massachusetts upon the successful attainment of the appropriate licensure requirements.

ACCREDITATIONS
The Board of Registration in Nursing (BORN)
Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School has received Full Approval from the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing (MABORN). Our Practical Nursing Program is a part-time, 60-week evening program that provides 1090 hours of instruction.

In March 2012, our Practical Nursing Program received Initial Accreditation; in October 2016, it received Continued Accreditation from the ACEN.

Other Admissions Criteria: Provide satisfactory evidence of secondary school graduation or its equivalent. For example, Official High School transcript, Official GED Scores transcript, or approved home schooling program. Official transcripts must be received from the secondary institution mailed directly to the BVT Practical Nursing Program.
Satisfactory evidence of post-secondary graduation or its equivalent for applicants with evidence of college graduation. Official transcripts must be received from the secondary institution mailed directly to the BVT Practical Nursing Program.
If you did not receive a secondary school graduation or its equivalent (High School or GED) from the United States, must provide an evaluation through the Center of Education Documentation (CED) in Boston, MA. The CED contact information is 617- 338-7171 or www.cedevaluations.com .
