Introduction to Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration I
Our Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration evening program is designed to help adult learners with basic refrigeration practices, which includes system piping and proper use of refrigeration components, tools, and test instruments. This 15-week course will combine energy theories and hands-on laboratory projects that will teach you to design and install a refrigeration system, including piping, leak testing, evacuation, and charging. Following EPA guidelines, you'll also learn electrical theories, instructions, and application use that incorporate system controls, basic electrical projects, starting relays, and circuit identification. In less than six months, you will have mastered the skills needed to take the EPA 608 Certification Exam.

Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration II
This level II course will follow up on the fundamentals of HVAC I, including heat pumps. It is also a segway into heating and ventilation systems used in the residential and light commercial industries. The student will identify, service, and troubleshoot the following systems: electric heat, gas heat, oil heat, heat pumps, Hydronics, and ventilation systems, including air measurements, duct systems, and filtration. An advanced component of this course is heating-cooling estimation, where students will design their own HVAC system. The program utilizes all safety procedures practiced in the HVAC industry and is based on OSHA standards.
