Join Our Summer Reading Challenge
Summer is perfect for fun-in-the-sun activities like swimming, hiking, and biking. Whatever you plan to do this summer or wherever your travels take you, set aside time to relax and curl up with a good book. Summer reading not only fosters a love of learning but it also offers rewards. How so?
This year we're inviting all students, grades 9–12, to participate in our Summer Reading Challenge by reading a book of their choosing. The reward? This assignment is optional and incentive-based, but if you read a book and completed our Summer Reading Book Review Form below, you'll receive a voucher (limited to one voucher per student) that can be used toward one of your academic homework assignments during the fall trimester. How cool is that?!
NOTE: Advanced Placement (AP) Language & Composition and Literature & Composition summer assignments are not a part of this Summer Reading Challenge, and the homework voucher may not be used for any AP course.
FIND YOUR NEXT GREAT READ
Do you love a good adventure story? Perhaps a mystery or a classic novel is your thing. When it comes to selecting a great book, our English teachers don't discriminate, and lucky you, they have compiled a list of book recommendations for you to browse through. Each book will take you on a journey where you get lost, engrossed, and smitten in the very best way. So, plan a trip to your local library or browse the shelves of your independent bookstore with this list in hand and discover your next great read.
