January 2026
Dear BVT Families,
The purpose of this letter is to provide the families of all BVT sophomores and freshmen enrolled in honors-level science courses with information about the 2026 English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, and Science MCAS exams scheduled to occur in March, May, and June, respectively.
Students must have their BVT student ID on them at all times during the exam. Students must also ensure that their BVT-issued laptop is fully charged and brought to their exam rooms.
MCAS prohibited items, such as cell phones and other devices that provide internet access, are prohibited in the exam rooms. Unauthorized electronic devices found in the exam room must be reported to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education. They reserve the right to invalidate exam results for individuals and/or groups if irregularities, such as the presence of electronic devices in the exam areas, occur.
BVT is obligated by state and federal law to administer the MCAS exams to all eligible testers. Please avoid scheduling appointments or other matters that would prevent your student from attending school during any of the MCAS dates in 2026. For an optimal exam experience, students should be present on the primary exam days.
