Welcome to Our Parent Advisory Council for Special Education
Special Education regulations state that each school committee shall establish a Parent Advisory Council (PAC), to advise the school committee on matters that pertain to the health, safety, and education of students with disabilities.  
Membership is open to all families of students with disabilities and any other interested parties.
We want to help families to better understand special education regulations, and to be aware of their rights and of the services available to them under the law. Parents know that in dealing with their child's special needs they may, at times, feel confused, frustrated, overwhelmed and helpless.
The Parent Advisory Council welcomes parent input and involvement. All are cordially invited to attend our regularly scheduled meetings and to become involved in their child's education. The Director of Special Education meets regularly with the Parent Advisory Council in planning, development, and evaluation of Special Services programs.
