  • Are Energy Drinks Safe?

    The energy drink industry is a multi-billion dollar industry that is marketed primarily to youth and young adults. Some energy drink manufacturers classify their product(s) as supplements to avoid regulation by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Some products contain substances that amplify the effect of caffeine and/or contain additives whose safety is not well known. There can be significant negative health outcomes associated with these products, including heart complications, anxiety, insomnia, dental issues and heartburn/stomach irritation.     The phrase "health is wealth" has never been more important than now. One of the ways you can work on your health is by using meal prep to cook once and eat twice (or maybe 4 times). Why is this important to your health?

    • Meal prep saves money (and trips to the store), which reduces stress
    • Meal prep means less time in the kitchen and more free time
    • Meal prep allows you to include foods that boost immunity and contribute to your health
    • Meal prep helps you practice portion control
    • Meal prep takes the daily guesswork out of "what should I eat when I'm too tired to cook" by having meals ready to go (thereby relying less on temptation, take out and processed foods)
