Thursday, February 26th
Scholarship Support Day
Seniors, scholarship season is in full swing. Need help? No worries, our school counselors are hosting a Scholarship Support Day on February 26th, during Career Enrichment. They'll share tips and strategies to get you organized as you finalize your post-BVT career plans.
Wednesday, March 11th
SkillsUSA District Competition at BVT
Our students are honored to compete among the state's most talented vocational-technical students in the annual SkillsUSA competitions. The 2026 season of events starts at BVT on Wednesday, March 11th, with the SkillsUSA District V Competition via online testing.
Thursday, March 12th
College Fair – Snow Day, Friday, March 13th
This year's College Fair will pack the Competition Center with admissions personnel from New England's finest colleges, universities, training institutions, and the military. With many students advancing their careers through college or military service, the College Fair will help you weigh all of your options by connecting you with prospective post-secondary schools and U.S. military service members.

Senior Class Professional Days
Seniors, you are working from home these two days to complete scholarship applications and portfolios, or working at Co-Op.
NOTE: Check-ins are required at 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. for attendance. Students who do not complete BOTH check-ins will be marked as unexcused absences from school and may be subject to a disciplinary response up to, but not limited to, Saturday school assignments.

Senior Portfolio Due
You will want to check this to-do item off your list early. Polish up your portfolio and submit it through JobReady360, so it stands out from the crowd. Don't forget to present it to your shop teachers by the April 3rd deadline.
Thursday, April 9th
Career Fair
Seniors, mark your calendars. On April 9th, our Career Fair will pack the Competition Center with local and national companies interested in hiring you for Co-Op positions, as well as long-term and short-term employment. With many of our students wanting to advance their careers in industry, the Career Fair will help you and our sophomores and juniors make a career connection.
Friday, April 17th
Last Day to Charge Lunches
Seniors, don't get stuck in the lunch line without any funds in your lunch account. Check your balance to ensure there is enough money in your account before April 17th.
NOTE: Balances over $10.00 will automatically be refunded.
Wednesday, April 29th
Senior Sunset – A-Lot, 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.
The Senior Sunset is the perfect way to celebrate the end of an unforgettable journey as high school students. Enjoy a hot dog or hamburger with all the fixings, relax with friends, and reflect on the memories you've made as you look ahead to an exciting future. It’s the perfect way to close this chapter in style before graduation!
Thursday, April 30th – Saturday, May 2nd
SkillsUSA State Competition
Those students skilled enough to win at the district level will compete at the SkillsUSA State Leadership & Skills Conference. The leadership events will be held at the Best Western in Marlborough, and the hands-on competitions will be held at BVT on Friday, May 1st. There will be an awards ceremony on Saturday, May 2nd, at the Best Western in Marlborough. The awards ceremony is closed to the public.

Advanced Placement Exams
Are you interested in earning college credits while in high school? Students who earn
a qualifying score on an Advanced Placement Exam can receive credit at many colleges and universities. This can be a great head start to your college career.

Senior Class Day – Competition Center, 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
You've completed all your work! Now it’s time to recognize your accomplishments with class awards and certificate presentations, shop and academic outstanding awards, attendance awards, yearbook superlatives, class advisor presentations, and student performances. Remember to wear your class shirt and have fun watching a video montage of your time at BVT.
NOTE: All seniors are required to attend.
Senior Class Outing – WooSox Game – Polar Park, Worcester, 6:05 p.m.

It's sure to be a fun-filled day at Polar Park. But it's ONE, TWO, THREE strikes you're out if you don't RSVP to the WooSox Game, scheduled for Thursday, May 7th, at 6:05 p.m. Contact your class officers or advisors with any questions.
NOTE: The ticket cost is covered by the Class of 2026, but you're responsible for paying for your food and any souvenirs you purchase.
Saturday, May 9th
Junior/Senior Prom – DCU Center in Worcester
Check-in & Pictures 5:30 p.m., Dinner & Dancing 6:00 to 10:00 p.m.
It's time for the prom! That one special night when friends gather to have fun and dance the night away. Tickets will go on sale at the end of March for $90.00 each and are sold by the Junior Class. Do you want to bring a guest? Guest forms are available in the Main Office and should be submitted ASAP for approval.
NOTE: If you plan to attend the prom, you’ll need to arrive no later than 6:00 p.m. Those who arrive later may be denied entry.

Last Week of Shop & Final Shop Exams
Seniors, your vocational textbooks, tools, and equipment (e.g., Cosmo kits) are all due on the day of your shop's final exam. All technology equipment must be returned by Friday, May 15th.

Senior Culinary Arts Trip – Cape Cod
It's a three-day “foodie tour” of Cape Cod for our seniors in the Culinary Arts program. You're going to have some fun touring farms, wineries, and food factories like a hot sauce maker and a coffee roaster. Of course, eating at a few restaurants, from clam shacks to fine dining resorts, is on the list. YUM!

Senior Shop Gatherings – 9:30 to 11:00 a.m.
The Senior Shop Gatherings are a special way to say goodbye to high school and shop before graduation. Join your classmates for a casual morning of laughter and reflection as you share memories from your time together. It’s the perfect chance
to reconnect with friends one last time and enjoy each other’s company before heading off to new adventures. A heartfelt farewell to the place that helped shape your journey!

Senior Class Trip – New York City

Take a bite out of the Big Apple and experience art, culture, and history in the city that never sleeps! Visit Times Square, Central Park, or the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Catch a Broadway show or take a ride on the Staten Island Ferry to see the Statue of Liberty. It’s a perfect mix of education and excitement — an experience you won’t want to miss!

Senior Checkout Day – Competition Center, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Can you believe your high school days are almost over? On Senior Checkout Day, you will arrive on campus at a designated time by shops. You will receive your caps and gowns, graduation tickets, and honor society stoles and cords at checkout, provided all your senior obligations are completed.
- Promotion requirements for grades/credits/portfolios
- Attendance/after sessions/Saturday school sessions
- Co-Op
- Complete graduation survey
- Return academic and library books/calculators
- Return vocational textbooks/tools and equipment (e.g. Cosmo kits)
- Return technology
- Review and update scholarship information in Naviance
- Return athletic equipment and uniforms
- All fees and dues MUST be paid to the Business Office:

Memorial Scholarship Night – Competition Center, 6:00 p.m.
Celebrate with your family and friends at the presentation of scholarships and
military recognitions.

- You should report to the cafeteria at 5:30 p.m.
- All seniors are encouraged to attend as part of the audience
- Proper dress is required
- Please wear your gown (no honor stoles, medals, cords, or tassels necessary)
- The ceremony is open to parents, family, and friends of our graduates
Friday, May 22nd
Senior Breakfast – Cafeteria, 9:30 to 10:00 a.m.
Join all your classmates for a complimentary breakfast buffet and have fun signing your yearbooks before graduation rehearsal.
Graduation Rehearsal – Competition Center, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
We want to ensure you look good and know what to do at the ceremony.
NOTE: Attendance at rehearsal is mandatory to participate in graduation.
Tuesday, May 26th
Class of 2026 Graduation Ceremony – DCU Center, Worcester, MA, 5:00 p.m.
You did it! Show off your pride by wearing your cap and gown, honor stoles, medals, cords, and tassels at your graduation ceremony.
- Proper dress is required.
- Tickets are required for admission to the ceremony.
- The DCU Center will not be open to general admission ticket holders until 4:15 p.m.
- Graduates will be grouped by shops and assigned to specific locations upon arrival.
- Locations for graduate arrival will be assigned during the graduation rehearsal.
- Students should arrive dressed in their graduation gowns and have with them their caps, honor stoles, medals, cords, and tassels.
- Each graduate will receive graduation tickets on Thursday, May 21st, at Senior Checkout Day
- Parents are asked not to leave their seats to take pictures during the ceremony.
- Morin’s Studios will take professional photos as the graduates accept their diplomas and cross the stage. The order form will be given to all the graduates at the rehearsal. You can complete and return the form at graduation or send it directly to Morin’s Studio.
A HELPFUL HINT FOR OUR GRADUATES

Cap & Gown Preparation: To remove wrinkles, hang your gown in the bathroom and steam it out by running the shower on hot to create humidity. Do NOT iron.

Stay Hydrated: Graduates are reminded to eat and drink water prior to the ceremony. The spotlights and gowns can cause warm conditions on the stage.
