At BVT, we encourage our students to get involved and give back to their community and their school. Each year, numerous charitable activities and events are organized by student groups, clubs, and teams. In addition to helping others, community service furthers our mission by creating opportunities for students to be immersed in value-based learning. Giving back provides our students with additional soft-skills such as humility, integrity, and collaboration that will help them succeed in both their personal and professional lives.
Making a Difference!
The spirit of giving back is an essential part of our culture and our students, teachers, and staff are the driving force. See how they continue to make a difference.
‘Tis the season to connect, give thanks, and spread hope and good cheer. Our Student Council is helping to bring the holiday spirit to our community by hosting our annual Thanksgiving and Holiday Drives. During the holiday season, these programs are a great way to show our appreciation and support for one another as members of the BVT family.

Meet Vinny. He's a happy pup thanks to a creative collaboration between our Student Council and a group of senior citizens from the Millville Senior Center. Learn how this community service project not only built connections, but how the group gave back by putting their crafting skills to work to create some colorful toys any dog would love to play with.
In 2014, the Student Council created “Sporty’s Closet,” an easily and privately accessible Goodwill-style center for students, faculty, and staff in need on our campus. Sporty’s Closet is set up to look like a true closet with hangers, drawers, hooks, and shoe racks for students to browse. Students can select gently worn clothing, shoes, and outerwear in addition to hygiene products and formal or semi-formal apparel for events like prom and homecoming. Sporty’s Closet is made possible by donations from students, faculty, staff, and community members.
If you would like to donate to Sporty’s Closet, please contact Megan Potenti
