Meet Our Principal
Michele S. Denise
Michele S. Denise began her career at Blackstone Valley Tech (BVT) in 1997 as a Hospitality Instructor in our Culinary Arts department. With a recipe for success, she helped transform the shop into a modern culinary learning lab, where fresh, scratch-made food and wholesome dining experiences are the key ingredients.
In 2007, Mrs. Denise transitioned out of the vocational shop to serve as the Director of Athletics and Student Activities. For twelve years in this role, she supported and connected with our students in their extracurricular endeavors and campus culture.
Mrs. Denise was then appointed Vocational Director in 2019. In this position, she played an integral part in collaborating with our vocational instructors to meet the rigorous and relevant standards of modern industry through the rich offerings of our career vocational-technical shops.
Over the years, Mrs. Denise has held numerous leadership roles at BVT, including Vocational Team Leader, President of the Teachers' Association, Admissions Coordinator, Coach, and Advisor. She is also actively involved in statewide educational leadership, serving on several committees and professional organizations, including the Massachusetts Association of Vocational Administrators and the Massachusetts School Administrators Association.
In July 2025, Mrs. Denise proudly became the first female principal in BVT's history. In this role, she remains committed to fostering a school culture rooted in high expectations, mutual respect, and collegiality, while continuing her legacy of service and leadership.
