• PowerSchool 1

Welcome Parents, to Your PowerSchool Portal
Over the summer, we said goodbye to iPass, our old student information system, and implemented PowerSchool, a secure, innovative, and easy-to-use technology that "powers"  our school's operations. The platform houses your teen's biographical information, course schedules, attendance, grades, class assignments, progress reports, and report cards. It helps us communicate and share information between our staff, students, and you as parents.

Use this page to learn more about how to:
    • Create a parent account
    • Link your teen to your account
    • View your teen’s grades and attendance
    • Access a listing of your teen’s teachers

    PowerSchool Rollout
We're excited about the features offered in PowerSchool and are ready to share this new information with our BVT families.

    • On Wednesday, September 21st, your teen received their login and password to the
PowerSchool student portal via their school e-mail. Our Career Enrichment teachers
worked with them to navigate the setup of their accounts.

    • Now it's your turn to create a parent account that can be linked to your teen(s) account.
       Are you ready?

    Create a Parent Account
A parent account allows you to view the information for one or more students with a single sign-in. You can also manage your personal account preferences.

    STEP 1
Enter the PowerSchool portal. This link will bring you to a "Student and Parent Sign In" screen. Select the “Create Account” tab.

    Create an Account Screen

    STEP 2
Fill out the "Parent Account Details" with your name and e-mail address (not your teen’s e-mail). Please note the e-mail address you use must be the same e-mail that is on file at BVT. If you are unsure of the e-mail address on file, or if you wish to change it, please call the Main Office at 508–529–7758.

Complete the requested information by establishing a Username and Password. These can be unique to your preference but must be at least 8 characters long.

    STEP 3
Scroll further down the page and fill in the information under "Link Student to Account." This is where you will enter the "Access ID" and "Access Password" provided in the e-mail that we sent to you on Thursday, September 22nd (or the registrar at the time of registration.)

    STEP 4
If you have more than one student currently attending BVT, repeat STEP 3 for each of your students. Once you have linked all your student(s), click "Enter" to submit your registration. Congratulations! Your parent account is set up and you are now registered to access our new student information system!

Check Your Teen's Grades & Attendance
    STEP 1
Log in to the PowerSchool portal.

    STEP 2
If you have multiple students at BVT, you will see all your students’ names listed at the top of the screen under the PowerSchool logo. The tabs allow you to toggle between your students with one login. Choose the student’s name under the PowerSchool logo to review their grades.

    STEP 3
The default screen is for "Grades and Attendance." Each course for the student is listed, with the terms that the student is enrolled in the class (T1, T2, T3).

    STEP 4
To review the assignment details for a course, click on the number grade or [ i ] in the appropriate term column for the Class Score detail screen.

    STEP 5
Scroll down to the assignments section to review the details and scores (if available) for each assignment.

    Review Your Teen's Report Card

Choose the report card to review each course grade.

  • Helpful Hints
    • The "Grades and Attendance" screen lists the schedule of courses your student is enrolled in for the current school year. Their teacher is listed in blue font under the name of the course.

    • Teachers may use icons to mark assignments. The "Assignment Key" is located at the bottom of the assignment screen.

    • Some teachers may enter comments related to assignments. Click on the "View" link in the far right column of the assignment listing.

    • Attendance is listed at the bottom of the "Grades and Attendance" screen. By clicking the number, the list of attendance dates and codes can be reviewed.
