Perception can be deceiving. What your child may consider a cool, new electronic tool that is deliciously flavored in chocolate, fruit punch, and cherry is actually an extremely harmful e-cigarette. Have you seen them? They look like pens, thumb drives, and everyday items. They are cleverly marketed to adolescents who don’t understand the addictive chemicals within and how they will affect their short and long-term health.
E-cigarette use is on the rise nationwide, and we’re seeing an increase of student use on our campus. We pride ourselves in teaching our students how to make safe and healthy choices. Our goal is to educate the community and start a conversation about the dangers of vaping and e-cigarette use, but we (and your child) need your help.
